      Pi Model: 4 B Model
      Power Supply used: USB-C Power
      RetroPie: 4.7.1
      Built From: Raspberry Pi Imager
      USB Devices connected: Blackweb Keyboard,
      Controller used: GeeekPi SNES style
Kingston 240GB A400 SATA 3 2.5" Internal SSD SA400S37/240G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance
Error messages received when using SD Card: wpa_supplicant
Error Message recived when trying to boot from SSD: Bootloader Screen says SD Card Failed. and a lot of random numbers and letter.
Guide used: Youtube Videos by Wagner's TechTalk
      Case Used: Retroflag NESPi 4

I have no idea what I am doing so I watched the Youtube videos and followed the steps and yet I am not sure what I did wrong.

When I try to just do the boot from the SSD it goes to this red screen with bootloader

and if I use the SD Card when it is loading their is one line that says faild start usbemount @dev-sda services

I know nothing about scripting or anything like that and really I never even messed with a computer system in this way before but I kept seeing these videos and it looked so easy I figured I would give it a try and I can play all my old games on it that I have backed up.

If I can not get it working I will have to send it back and get a refund which after what I paid for this I really do not want to do that.

Here is the version I bought off Amazon if that helps
      https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GKTPTR8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have searched the message boards but all the post talk about scripts and other stuff and I really need a step by step as to what to do as like I said I have never done anything like this before and have no idea what I am doing.

Is your PI configured to boot from USB (not only from sdcard) ?
Check out the Pi 4 Boot Diagnostics page to determine that - look for the 'boot mode' configuration that is shown when you start and see if it includes USB.
