Nothing in the world of computers makes a change on its own unless your Pi became sentient.
- Did you update any software?
- Add software, remove software?
- Are you using shaders?
- Did you set a core option when you meant to set a game option in retroarch?
The libretro emulations have a TAB (mame) menu which sets the cabinet mode for each ROM. (i.e. upright, cocktail)
-
@iandaemon thats where ive been working is there a setting i may have done inadevertantly to cause this?
-
@tar If you hit
tab
there would be a "dip switch
" option in the mame menu. In there would be the "upright
vscocktail
" setting. But that's per ROM. Are you saying that every game changed? -
@iandaemon yes every game changed and tab no longer works for dip switch .. i did something wish i knew what. im just going to restart lol learn more each time.. ty for then try
-
@tar Maybe you switched the default "arcade" emulator to one that doesn't use TAB as the mame menu.
-
@iandaemon oh that does make sense when ever you switch per rom it does goback to that screen
-
@tar If you switch the "default" Arcade emulator (not for that ROM specifically) then any ROM that doesn't have an emulator specified will use the default. Before you said that none of the games were using the split-screen shader. Now I'm confused. What exactly is going on? Are games running fine for one player? Maybe you're trying an emulator that doesn't use the same shaders.
Are you using fbneo? This may help: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/29018/core-override-for-shader-not-saving-changes-video-settings-on-its-own
