RetroPie Setup only installs lr-Vicex64

Raspberry Pi 400
Retroarch 1.8.8When installing the libretro version of Vice it only installs the x64 version. Could you add makefiles for the x64sc, x128 etc (like the standalone version) please ?
-
I'm sure the Pi400 can easily handle the x64sc version and is needed for some demos etc. If you can only add one more to Retropie then this is the one I want what I really really want.
-
@mitu Sorry to tag you, who do I have to ask to make this happen ?
-
@maxbeanz Please don't bump your own topics in such a short time.

@BuZz I'm also interested in this. Any chance you could add the libretro x64sc version to the Setup script ? The Retroarch versions have options and bugfixes that even the original standalone versions don't have (thanks to sonninos).

I'm not sure if I will merge as is but you can test it.

@buzz Was it me that was supposed to be checking this ? I updated the Setup Script but still only see the libretro x64 version. I installed it from source but no option to select a different default when running games/demos.

@windale not yet. I'm still considering it.

I think this last got talked about clear back here when I got the other machines working: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/22849/lr-vice-and-vic-20-plus-4-c128-and-commodore-pet/10

@BuZz If you don't want to add this, is there a chance you could post a compiled lr-Vice x64sc for the Pi 400 please (or let me know how to do it) ? Then I can just copy it over. It's the only lr-vice core that I want.

@windale You can use the module from the PR on github.

Thanks, the script works great. Feel free to add it. Although wouldn't it be better as separate scripts per core instead of force installing all of them and increasing the source install time ? I suppose up-to-date binaries would be OK.
