      Hi, I'm new here, both in forums and working with a raspberry pi. I've followed guides to a T with installing retropie to a raspberry pie 4 8gb. When I go to use any options in retropie it minimizes to desktop, and reopens the same options menu. I have everything updated, and I have tried re installing with still having the same issue. Any help will be appreciated.

        Running RetroPie from the desktop is not a supported configuration on the Pi. Use raspi-config from a terminal and configure your system to auto-boot to console as the pi user - https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/raspi-config.md
