Adding custom box art to retropie?

Power Supply used: pro-elec 5.1v/2.5A micro USB switching ac power supply
RetroPie Version Used: 4.7.11
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected:16 gb flash drive, 2 USB gamepads
Controller used: iNext USB gamepad
Error messages received: n/a
Verbose log (if relevant): n/a
Guide used: retropie documentation scraperI'm trying to add custom box art. I see that the box art downloaded has specific dimensions. Does custom box art added have to be at those specific dimensions or will it automatically resize?
