      Hello good night ;

      My apologies for bothering you so,

      Here is being a beginner in the world of Raspberry Py,

      after a lot of research I just understood that the:

      • Raspberry Pi is the future,

      Today I think I will order it on LDLC and have it built by their service.

      On the other hand, these are the worries that I encounter,

      Which versions of: Raspberry Pi to order?

      I'm not sure which system to start on:

      because I understand that there are:

      Retropie?
      RacalBox?
      Batocera?

      Could someone advise me and explain how to install it step by step in details please?

      and therefore on the Raspberry Pi I would like to have the following consoles / games:

      Arcade
      Cave
      Neogeo
      CAPCOM
      Mame
      CPS1
      CPS2
      CPS3
      MSDOS = Doom
      Nintendo 64

      I understand that there are also FBA or other alternatives,

      Hoping my question was understood,

      I hope to receive help because I am completely lost.

      Thank you very much .

        Not exactly, the future has many names and outcomes. The Raspberry Pi is a single board computer with lots of uses. May I ask why do you want to choose a Raspberry Pi ? Most emulators/games can also be run on a regular PC, using a Raspbery Pi is not a requirement to emulate old systems.

        On the other hand, these are the worries that I encounter,
        Which versions of: Raspberry Pi to order?

        Try getting the most recent version - a Pi model 4 or - if you wish to have a keyboard - a model 400.

        I'm not sure which system to start on:
        because I understand that there are:
        Retropie?
        RacalBox?
        Batocera?

        These are ready-made software solutions that can be installed on a Raspberry PI (among other types of computers or small board systems). You're on the RetroPie forum, Batocera/Recalbox have their own site and forums.

        Could someone advise me and explain how to install it step by step in details please?

        If you wish to install RetroPie - start with the https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/.

        and therefore on the Raspberry Pi I would like to have the following consoles / games:
        Arcade
        Cave
        Neogeo
        CAPCOM
        Mame
        CPS1
        CPS2
        CPS3
        MSDOS = Doom
        Nintendo 64

        This is a broad selection, they're generally supported on a Pi, though it also depends on the game for general categories like 'arcade' - not every Arcade or Mame game will work on a Pi or have adequate performance, etc.

            I'm saying that a computer can do what a Raspberry Pi could do and it's more powerful. It's your choice if you want to get a Raspberry Pi - for lower power usage, small size, etc - or use a PC. Just to clear out that playing old/retro games can be done on a PC also.

            what are the solutions for computers please?

            Search for emulators on each system - basically the same emulators that RetroPie uses are available on a PC.
