      PI 4B 8GB
      32 GB SD Card
      64 GB Flash Drive

I think this is the second time I've had a similar issue. This pi and SD card have been working for about half a year, but as soon as I tried to plug the PI in I got a static tone from the speakers and this error screen

The QR code just took me to this: https://www.raspberrypi.org/software/

My best guess is that when plugging it in, the PI got power, the plug sparked a bit, the voltage spike/fluctuated and it broke the SD Card. I found the usb drive and it seems fine, but the SD Card file system seems to be all over the place.

Would installing a UPS or modifying the system to boot from a usb device prevent the problem from happening again?
Does anyone know what exactly is wrong and what I can do to fix it or avoid it in the future?
