      Hi,

I have borrowed an SD card with Retropie installed to tryout on my new Picade however when booting the Picade screen goes blue and then turns off.

However if I connect the HDMI to a normal TV it boots up fine and I can control everything via the Picade to add to the issue if I then unplugging the HDMI from the TV and plugging into the Picade screen it works......help

      Thanks - Andy

Try to take out the SD card and plug it into your computer, and open up the config.txt in a text editor.
Change hdmi_force_hotplug to 1, this wil output video signal to the HDMI port even when nothing is connected.
The bluescreen is most likely the warning that no video source is connected

Also depending on the screen, you might need to force an HDMI mode as well - I do on mine (because it defaults to 1280x720 otherwise, even though the screens native resolution is 1024x768)

@aisnake008 in the /boot/config.txt you can make adjustments to hdmi including boosting the signal
