I would love to use the New Steam Deck to play all my retro games. And I love using RetroPi. I know RetroArch supports a lot of different devices. Kinda hoping that this might be a good idea to do.

SteamOS itself is Linux. Based on Arch Linux as far as I know. So there are no official RetroPie packages for it out of the box. The simplest solution would then probably be dual boot with Ubuntu.

SteamDeck is just a PC like any other (or more akin to a laptop of course, but you get the point). You can install Ubuntu on it alongside SteamOS, and therefore also RetroPie. So in that sense, it is already supported with the usual x86 packages.

I understand that i can load it along side it. But it would be nice to have inside of steamos and just click on it from the library. It seems that RetroArch is jumping on it. That's why I asked, but they seem to be doing it from the windows point of view. like i said it would be nice to have it support in steam not a side load. that's all.
