How can I create Controller Combo for Tab/Mame Service Menu?

Hello!
I thought this would be easy to find the answer for but so far Iv'e come up short.My question is how can I create a game controller button combo or single button to trigger a 'Tab' keyboard press?
To enable me to get into the Mame games' own Service Menus?

@redmarsbluemoon assuming mame2003 or mane2003-plus....enter the tab menu. Go to input general. Then the top line "config menu" let's you set a combo. Select it with "A" then hold the combo you want. If you want tab to also work, press "A" again and press tab on a keyboard.
You can also access the mame menu from within retroarch core options.

I'm focusing on mame2016 and the menu path was a bit different I think but nontheless I found it it it worked! Awesome!! :)It's a bit curious to change how to get to a menu inside the menu itself? Maybe :)

@pinokiooo do you mean to "double click" the input combo or using 2 controller devices as a combo?
