Made BIOS, ROMS, CONFIG reachable from windows... it's possible ?
-
From the Windows you can only read/write the BOOT partition of the SD Card.
It's possible to have access to the ROOT partition of RetroPie from your Windows PC without remove the SD Card from the Pi.
1st Method : https://retropie.org.uk/docs/SSH/
2st Method: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Transferring-Roms/#samba-shares -

No, you need to access them using the 2nd method that @windg mentioned.

even if one modifies the .img file in some way? For example addind a third partition and create those folder here and interconnect this folder whit the linux partition ?
-
@djdiabolik Feel free to experiment on your own, but BIOS and configs folders make use of symlinks, so using a Fat32 filesystem (like you could do for ROMs) will not work. Note that even if you'd modify an existing
.img
with RetroPie, you'd still need to re-install it to take into account the new partitions. -
@mitu Yes i know i need to reinstall but recently i have buyed 2 more addictional SD 32GB from Amazon for made all test i want :)
Excuse me but if I virtualize a small linux distribution on my windows section can be add me to possibility also to reach and read all partition on SD right ?
The question it's if from this virtualized linux distribution i can reach my actual windows partition to paste© files likes roms and bios :) -

I don't know, some virtualization solutions support USB passthough, but I don't know how a SD card can be attached to a VM.

in the recent pass i have read some information about similar software..... it's speak about it's only for read access but apparently this add a feature or driver can add to access ext4 partition also from windows explorer :)
I always wondered if there were any similar plugins for a "basic" file explorer like Total Commander or similar :)
