      I'm currently working on cocktail styled bartop and I realize there is not so much vertical themes out there.
      So I decide to make my own.

      theme is designed for use only with 16:9 vertical display. (tested on 720x1280, 1080x1920)
      and you may need fully packed gamelist.xml (video, image, marquee and thumbnail) for more polished list view.

            @losernator Gorgeous theme, thanks for making it. I've got it installed and am generally loving it. There's a few minor issues though that you may want to consider addressing:

            • When OMX hardware accelerated playback is used, the video appears in front of the window at the top, rather than inside it.

            • The theme is clearly intended for vertical games, though the window at the top for images / videos is roughly 4:3 aspect ratio, so leaves gaps beside vertical gameplay videos. These videos would likely look better scaled to fit the width of the screen, centred in the window, with their top / bottom cropped. Alternatively, videos could be placed to the left in the window area, with thumbnails (screenshot graphics) to the right.

            • The thumbnail of the current game is just slapped on top of the game list - could this be removed? It looks messy.

            • The strip with the key for the buttons at the bottom of the screen overlaps the list of games. Could the text either be made to fade out at the bottom, or could the last half-displayed line of text be cut off or covered (as appears to be the case for Grid View, judging by your screenshot)?

            • Grid view instantly crashes RetroPie, at least on my Pi4 4GB with the latest RP installed.

            Otherwise, this looks amazing, and there's nothing I'd change about the top level menu.

              Thank you for detailed feedback.

              • Unfortunately OMX video override theme image. if you enable OMX playback, video would be on top always. that i can't help
              • I just change video size as you said. you are right it's better looking
              • You can hide thumbnail tag by editing theme.xml file- about line 209
                wrap with "<!--" and " -->"
              • list and bottom buttons are just fine with me but I edited it just in case.
              • I know currently grid view does not work on Pi4.
                Performance is not guaranteed, but it will work in the development version of ES - you may need to change VRAM LIMIT high enough.
