joolswills, I have the capability to build binaries for retropie using your builder.sh setup on the jetson nano itself. It seems that I could supply a custom binary repo to host these builds on which tegra-x1 based systems could download binaries from by changing a few things in system.sh

But, I would like to know if you are interested in hosting these binaries or not on the official retropie binary server?
I'm not asking for official support here, just a way to make sharing/accessing binaries easier.

Let me know what you think

I'd prefer to manage this centrally, plus the requirement for binaries to be signed. If you wished to fork RetroPie you could so this yourself but I could offer binaries for additional platforms if we add support for additional chroot/qemu systems. I plan to rework the code in admin/image.sh to make this easier but for now there's not really a way we can support binaries for other platforms unless we are building them.

I do intend to make these changes soon so can let you know.

@buzz yes please do let me know when you do so. I'll keep on the lookout as well. I understand wanting to keep things central (don't want malicious code uploaded in binary form run on peoples devices).

Glad to hear that its on your mind though (binaries for additional systems/architectures would be much appreciated).

I guess another alternative would be changing the scripts so more that one binary repo could exist (user could supply one through some config)... though that is a niche use case especially if you plan on expanding the number of devices you build for yourself in the future.
