AdvMame issue

It's weird, but i'm having advmame random ghost button issues... When I start a game, and press left on my dpad, it sets the throttle to free, and speeds up to over 100% speed from fixed, but if i unbind f10 (the default throttle button) then it happens less often. When pressing up it activates "load state", which is mapped to the shift-f7 key. Has anyone else had a similar problem in AdvMame? Happens with multiple games, both advmame versions, even before I configure any keys, but after i configure keys it continues to happen.
Any ideas? everything looks fine in the advmame.rc, and the gui key bindings...

and now it's doing it in mame4all also, but not lr-mame4all, started when i installed advmame from setup, maybe it did something to the input or joypad config? How does the non-LR configure the gamepad?

I killed joy2key.py, and the problem went away... Any way to fix it, or unload joy2key when it's not needed?
-
@gomisensei
Does it happen everytime or just when you access the runcommand menu? -
@meleu once i killed the process, the joy2key.py went away, and also the problem. Since it started to occur when i installed advmame, I checked out retropie-setup, and it was THERE were it ran (and didn't close) joy2key.py.
so I think, mostly, problem solved...

@gomisensei
are you running advmame while running retropie_setup (maybe through ssh)??I'm asking it because it's strange that joy2key remains running when retropie_setup isn't...

nope, all running thru console, but i kill the process thru ssh terminal after i've quit running retropie-setup from within emulationstation
Also, i think i'm using the beta, where can i see what version i'm running?

do you remember if you quit using ctrl+c? when quitting this way the retropie_setup does not stop jo2key...
Also, i think i'm using the beta, where can i see what version i'm running?
At the top of the first dialog of retropie_setup.

Quit the setup normally, by backing out to top menu and selecting exit.
Can't check my version right now, installing from source...

@gomisensei
Don't you have a screen similar to this?: -
@meleu Yeah, was just not sure i wanted to open another instance of setup while compiling from source. Did it anyways, running 4.0-rc1.
