Long term follower but first timer poster
I have spent months building my portable 4 player arcade control panel using the IPAC 4 interface and PI3. Each player has the following inputs
Joystick direction = 4 Buttons
Buttons = 6 buttons
Start = 1 Button
Select = 1 ButtonAnd that's for all 4 players which equals = 48 buttons
I also have an escape button so in total I have 49 buttonsMy problem is that when am setting up the retroarch.cfg file for all these buttons I have run out of keys to use.
Could you someone suggest what keys I should use and how I should input it on the retroarch.cfg file ?
The keys I have used are the following
A - Z = 26 keys
0 - 9 = 10 keys
ctrl Lctrl alt Ralt Rshift Space Enter UP DOWN LEFT RIGHTJust noticed that I could possibly use SHIFT as I have not already used that if that's ok ?
Someone suggested I use the EQUAL button but I don't know how to enter that on the retroacrch.cfg file ? I have tried EQUAL and = to no avail.

You are supposed to be able to just hold a key in and it will skip it...
For me however this appears not to work..

@mulder79 Here are some that work

@Floob Can you elaborate? I do not understand.. Did I read correctly that what I am tryuing to do simply does not work and I need to create the config file manually ?

To setup up a control connected to the pie via usb such as my usb snes then your suggestion is fine

@mulder79 Does not appear to work though... My switches thru the ipac are recognised as "keyboard" and are recognised, but long pressing a switch does not make it skip keys.. Therefor the whole configuring keys gui does not work.. I do not have enough switches to cover all keys it want to assign..

Dear Mulder
I also want to install retropie to a 4 player arcade machine with ipac 4 and for each player:
Joystick direction = 4 Buttons
Buttons = 6 buttons
Start = 1 Button
Select = 1 ButtonExtra: Pause button, Credit button (only 1 or for all players)
Do you still have the retroarch.cfg file whicj I can use?
