      Hi!
      This is my setup:

Raspberry 2 Retropie 3.8.1 from img to SD
Nes emu: lr-nestopia Snes emu: lr-SNES9x-Next

      USB Keyboard, Buffalo pad

I have checked that .zip is on etc/emulationstation/es_system.cfg for nes and snes, and .zip files are shown on the menu.

I am trying to run roms with .zip extension but I have some issues, mainly with romsets (one .zip file containing more than one rom file)

      NES
.zip with just one .nes file = Working OK
.zip with more than one file (romset) = The game launches but I can not choose an specific rom. I would like to see all the roms listed and launch the chosen one.

      SNES
.zip with just one .smc file = Working OK
.zip with more than one rom = The game name is listed but is not launched. Same way as Nes, I would like to see the romset list and choose a rom.

Is there any way to make this work or is it working as intended and I should unzip all the roms?

That never works because the emulator doesn't know which file to use. There are region romsets available, it should save you a lot of time if you want to play games from a certain region.
