Emulationstation main menu help

So is there a way like in attractmode to merge daphne, mame, and neogeo all in the mame games list then remove neogeo and daphne from the main screen so only mame shows? I am using it in a arcade cabinet and only want 1 games list\ console to show. I don't want to use attractmode because it is a little slow.

@dizmodawg I'm pretty sure there's an "all games" collection created by default in EmulationStation. I think it identifies the console though so I'm not sure if that would bother you. Do you have multiple versions of the same title? (e.g. Battletoads (Arcade), Battletoads (NES), etc.) You could start on that "system" in ES and then the others would exist, but you wouldn't necessarily see them.

@dizmodawg you can put MAME and Neo-Geo both in the
arcade
folder. You'll have to select which emulator to use for individual titles with theruncommand launch menu
. Set one of the lr-mame cores as default and then set lr-fbneo for the Neo-Geo games (or vice versa depending on which system has more titles. Make it default so you have fewer to set individually, for the other one.)You could put Daphne in there too, with a few edits to
emulators.cfg
andes_systems.cfg

.I like this option but how would i edit the emulators.cfg
and
es_systems.cfg -
@dizmodawg you know what I'm looking at the Daphne documentation and it looks like it's a bit more involved than most other emulators. Usually, I would add the new
<extensions>
to the entry in~/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
, and then add the new emulator line(s) in/opt/retropie/configs/[system]/emulators.cfg
.But Daphne has that weird folder structure, where there's a
roms
folder with the.zip
files but that's not the game entry, the*.daphne
folders are the game entries. And the Daphne system doesn't read.zip
files as entries but the Arcade system does, so if you merge them in this same way, then your "Arcade" system will have a weird "roms" sub-folder in it with a bunch of zip files that don't work...In this case, I think maybe it's better off leaving it a separate system.
