      Hello folks. First post here. I looked for a similar topic and found none.

      So, I have been using the newest retropie image with a new Rpi3.

      I loaded a few roms for PSX and SNES and have been playing.

      Today I loaded more roms for these machines, and also NES and Megadrive, by using the USB rom transfer method ( https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/First-Installation#transferring-roms ).

      I did this before, no issues.

      Today the new roms were indeed transferred to the retropie SD card. I confirmed this by using the file viewer.

      But...the problem is that Retropie is actually not showing the new games at the interface. Only the ones that I had transferred before a few days ago appear.

      Any hint as to what may be wrong?

        @miloS did you restart emulationstation? Have you changed the es "parse gamelists only" setting?

          @BuZz

          Sure, right after verified that the roms were at each respective directory, I did restart emulationstation. I also tried a full retropie restart.

          Now, about that "parse gamelists only" settings. I do not recall ever changing that. I found it as being ON. Since you mentioned this setting, I decided to play with with, I changed it to OFF and then restarted emulationStation. All the games are shown now.

          Thank you very much for giving me this idea. Just as a last question: what does this "parse gamelists only" setting truly mean ? (for both ON and OFF).

              Cool. Yeah I got into that link too while waiting for a reply.

              So: Parse Gamelists Only: If on, it will only read the roms you have scraped, so if you add any new roms it will not look for them unless you turn this back off. it is off by default.

              Damn, I must have touched it without noticing it. Thanks again.
