      How to replicate the problem:

Good day everyone. Not sure exactly what happened but my F310 gamepad no longer works the retropie menu (Config menu, setup menu etc.) It operates emulation station and retroarch fine. I am having no issues playing games or getting into the retroarch menus. I have tried all four ports and a different controller. I also reinstalled the the joy2 from the core packages. Any ideas?

Did you configure your controller in EmulationStation or did you mapped it from RetroArch ?
Does it have a configuration profile in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads ? If so, can you post the contents of the .cfg file for your gamepad ?

@mitu It seems I left my remote connection open on the computer and some config files where deleted by mistake. Thank you for pointing me in the correct direction this fixed it!
