Lr-GamBatte and "GB Colorization" setting... how it's works ?

and all games using the combination green/black instead the problably "black/white" of the original gameboy screen.
So, I guess you've never seen an original Game Boy, but it was indeed that shade of green.
GBC = Game Boy Color. If you put original GB carts in a GBC console, it would display in color, using a custom palette for the "four shades of dark" that were on the original. I think it could even distinguish between foreground sprites and background sprites, meaning you could get up to eight different colors from an original Game Boy cart.
SGB = Super Game Boy, a cart adapter that let you play GB carts in a SNES console, which also provided color in a similar fashion.

What do you mean.... on my childhood i had 2 original gameboy (the second i buy it after I broke the liquid crystals of the first one) one gameboy color and one pocket....
Now I don't know what happened to them ... probably at cousins' house :)I admit, however, that I have aged and I may have a very clouded memory .... i'm about 42 right now :)
so with that said what could be the right or best configuration for this option?
At this point i don't thinks it's OFF because whit that all games it's be black/white.
It's ok to set this to CUSTOM / INTERNAL ? Or it's better the other two option ? -
@djdiabolik
Original Gameboy
This one only came in the color scheme you see here. Notice the green tint on the LCD screen. You can see it is green even in the OFF state. This ran on 4x AA batteries.
From Wikipedia:
Dimensions 5.8”/148 mm × 3.5”/90 mm × 1.3”/32 mm (l × w × d)
Mass 7.76 oz/0.22 kg (without batteries)Gameboy Pocket
This one was the improved version that actually had black/white. Also came in many colors of the plastic shell. This one ran on 2x AAA batteries.
When I emulate Gameboy games, I prefer the black/white setting instead of the green style or any of the color choices. I leave color for the GBC / GBA games.

@yfzdude not that the coloring bothered me but i did wonder why black and white was a option. i did not know they had a improve version. i thought it was only the green one out there. lol
i learned something new today. -

So you had a "Game Boy Color" and a "Game Boy Pocket." Neither of those are the original "Game Boy."

@sleve_mcdichael YEAH... I had two of original gameboys ...:)
One GameBoy color and one pocket :)@YFZdude exactly.. the first it's the original gameboy. as I said above i had two of this :)
Anyway my friends now i understand....... i have TEST some configuration and i understand a little how it's works:
I should have figured out how it works "INTERNAL" -> i have to set the below option from "Internal Palette" and also from here i can choose the very variations between the "TWB64 Pack" 1 and 2 whit many option inside :)I didn't understand correctly how the other options work.. for example if i set "CUSTOM" or "AUTO"..... but problably if i search on internet i can found all necessary guide :)
Problably here:

One GameBoy color and one pocket :)Neither of those are the original.
Game Boy was released in 1989 and had a green-tinted monochrome screen.
Game Boy Pocket was released 7 years later and had black-and-white.
Game Boy Color had, obviously, a color screen, and was released in 1998.
I didn't understand correctly how the other options work.. for example if i set "CUSTOM" or "AUTO"..... but problably if i search on internet i can found all necessary guide :)
Custom allows you to define your own palettes. Auto tries to guess a best match for each rom -- it's not very good at it.

Neither of those are the original.
I think @DjDiabolik meant 'genuine', i.e. not clones/knock-offs.

Or it could have been
2x original +
1x pocket +
1x color
---------------
for a total of 4 gameboys.If so that would have been awesome if your friends each had a copy of a 4 player game and someone had the 4 way link. Although I can't remember for sure if the Color had the same link cable plugin.
I remember playing Tetris against friends with the normal 2 player link cable frequently.

@sleve_mcdichael
Lol.. I was born in 1979... I don't remember the exact year but I'm more than sure to have had two classic gameboy.
If i remeber it's cost aroud 150.000 Lire :)The first gameboy after a fall from a table I suffered a breakdown of the liquid crystals and after some months i buy my second gameboy.... then lost over the years :(
several years later I won a gameboy color with an Italian coca-cola contest (you need to found somethigs under the cap.....
I have also a little memories about the pocket version but in this case i don't remember to much....I just know that nowadays I don't find myself anything.....
I also remember i have a lot of GIG Tiger.... on my childhood collection i have a lot of elettronics games like:
1 Tomy Volleyball
1 Gakken Soccer
and many many other..... all lost :(The only handheld i have on my hand it's a perfect working "Mario Cement Factory"....
then excuse me if i'm going a little OT but I like to remember those years every now and then :)
@YFZdude
I had his cable link of classic gameboy... but I don't have big memories of its use. Probably nothing in particular to remain etched in my memory after several years ....
