From what I can gather from various videos I've seen as I'm running 2 ipac ultimate's and only using players 1 and 2 on both boards I'll need to remap the key codes on both boards but can't seem to find them for players 3 and 4 anywhere only a set for hyperspin will these work? Any help would be really appreciated

It's not quite clear what you're trying to do, can you explain better what's your current setup and what you're trying to accomplish ?

@mitu I'm building a 4 player control panel with a 8 button setup for players 1 and 2 and a 6 button layout for 3 and 4 and I'm putting a trackball in as well, I'm going to run players 1 and 3 off the left board and player's 2 and 4 off of the right, I have 2 ipac ultimate's and the wiring pack for players 1 and 2 for both as I was told I could just remap the keys so they would read as the assigned player but the only key codes I've found were for hyperspin so not sure if they'd work in retropie? As you can probably tell I'm new to this lol, thanks for any advice

If you're using an IPAC and it's configured as a keyboard, then you can apply the advice in https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Keyboard-Controllers/#keyboard-mode-default-keys.

For RetroArch based emulators, there's an example on the same page at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Keyboard-Controllers/#emulation-station-and-retroarch. It's for 2 players, but can be extended for 4 players by adding the necessary entries for player3 and player4 .

This should cover almost all emulators used, if you want to use a standalone emulator (i.e. not a RetroArch based emulator), then you'll need to configure the players/controller in the emulator itself, most of them have a mapping menu. If you find one that doesn't work, then ask in the forums and we may be able to help.
