Game list control

Hello:
Is there a way either through a GUI or through a text file to create a subset list?
For example in the NES rom series I would like to be able to have a NES-US and a NES-VS systems list.
I could foresee using it to sort US and Non-US games so that finding a game becomes easier.
I am sure it has been asked before of course.
Thanks again for this marvelous tool.

Something I just noticed in the WIKI about the NES is the following:
The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) — renamed from the Family Computer, or Famicom — was first released in North America on October 18, 1985 and featured 17 launch titles: 10-Yard Fight, Baseball, Clu Clu Land, Duck Hunt, Excitebike, Golf, Gyromite, Hogan's Alley, Ice Climber, Kung-Fu Master, Pinball, Soccer, Stack-Up, Super Mario Bros., Tennis, Wild Gunman, and Wrecking Crew.
This would make an awesome list or even a system level entry in the Emulation Station menu.

You can create folders in the rom directory and split them up that way.
For each emulator I have a favorites folder and an all roms folder.

Does this give you separate menu lists? I will try that out if so.
Do you have a screenshot?

What do you mean menu lists? If you put 2 folders in the roms/NES folder, when you select NES you will see the 2 folders and can pick whichever you want.

@theroamer I see what you mean.
I was thinking that there might be a more elegant graphically nice way to do this. For instance on the Emulation Station Menu there are graphical representations of each system. To have it so that there is a graphical representation of NES USA and then another for NES VS on the home menu select screen.
Of course as a work around creating folder may be the only option on here for now.
Thanks again,
