I have looked at other posts, this does not seem to be in any others.

      Hardware:
      New Lubuntu Build 18.04
      I5-3330s
      GTX 570

I am quite new to this field, if this is simple, my bad

Dolphin suddenly fails when being built from source through the retropie x86_64 build, claims a build folder is missing. I have reinstalled retropie and added some other dependencies from this post; https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/13087/problems-building-dolphin-on-x86-version/3

Use a more recent Ubuntu/Lubuntu version, my guess is the compiler from the 18.04 version is too old. Any reason you're not using 20.04 LTS version ?

@mitu When I did use 20.04, there was an issue with the nvidia 390 driver installing. I thought rolling it back would somehow be better for compatibility. I do have dolphin installed with retropie on my laptop, so I believe I will just use clonezilla to clone it to the nvidia build, and sort through the driver issue then. If that doesnt work I will switch away from Lubuntu and try another distro.
