Hello all! I bought a Rasberry Pi 3 a couple years ago and installed RetroPi on it. I decided I had better update to the new version so I downloaded the new one.

Currently my Rasberry Pi is hooked up to my MAME cab which is in a 'dead' spot of the apartment -- I can't get it to connect to my WiFi. So I thought I could just download the RetroPi file onto a USB stick, plug it into a USB port, and update it that way. Only I can't find a way for RetroPi to choose the USB stick -- it just wants to try to update via the Internet, which it can't.

Is there some way I can get RetoPi to update from the USB Stick or do I need to take everything apart, bring the Rasberry Pi into my bedroom with my computer, direct hook it up and update it that way?

No, updating from RetroPie-Setup will need an internet connection.
