Certain games in classic arcade stopped loading, used to work fine
-
My retro raspberry pie is less than a year old. All games worked fine for the first 10 months. All a sudden TMNT and Simpsons on Arcade Classics stopped loading. I think I accidentally left the unit on for a few weeks. Didn't realize I need to do a hard shut down as well as soft. I tried a new SD card but the devices wouldn't even turn on with it.

@raywcpoint please provide some more information about your system as requested in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first including a verbose log of a non-working title.

@sleve_mcdichael I don't know what a verbose log is. I have a Retro Pi Emulation console Pi 4 with 8GB RAM plug and play fully loaded. Paid $240 for it almost a year ago. The company has terrible tech support and stopped answering my emails. It has a 64GB SD card that I tried replacing but the device won't even power up on the new card.
I scrolled through the forum but didn't see any topic that matched mine. -

That's why I made it a clickable link.

Third-party images are not supported. Backup your roms and BIOS folders if you can, install the current latest image from the website (currently 4.8), and then restore your backed-up folders.
(You will probably need to acquire new arcade roms, because you aren't going to know what romset they are from and many of them probably won't work in the default emulator. You could try just throwing random emulators at them until you find one that works, but it might just be easier to find a source for FBNeo full nonmerged sets and use those.)
