Pi 400 strange audio hdmi behaviour

Hello everyone. I bought 2 pi400 to play, i already have a build on official retropie 4.7.2 for a previous pi4 2gb ram. Burned the img and plug it into the pi 400. There is this strange behaviour, where my whole system, after entering and exiting a few games, stops sending audio through the hdmi port (and also the resolution stays in 1080p ingame, where it should be 720p for games). First i thought it had to be some redream reletad issue, but it is happening also with fba games.
I'm using the port next to the usb C power and a cheap adaptor micro to standar hdmi, which didn't cause this before with a regular pi 4 2gb ram. I also updated retropie from retropie-setup and this still happens. Any help is really appreciated. Thank you.
