I was so excited to get this after getting the CM4 months ago. It is not detecting the SD card though(see photo)

I pulled the SD card from my PI4, so the card is verified to be working. I have two RetroFlags here since one needs to be returned (was shipped without the dock). Both behave the same. I also tried a different card with the GPi_Zero_2_v1.5 image on it. Am I missing a step in the setup?

The compute model is a CM4108032

@rasp_renegade Are you using a CM4 with EMMC storage? If so, you cannot use the SD card slot on the GPi Case 2. The reason is because CM4 models with EMMC storage wire up the same pins that would normally go to the SD card slot into the onboard storage. It's physically incapable of using the SD card slot, even as additional storage. You will need to flash RetroPie to the onboard EMMC storage, and upload your games via SCP or SFTP.

This is a limitation of the CM4 with EMMC storage, not of the GPi case. Only the CM4 Lite models support booting from SD cards.

Thank you my friend. You saved me a bunch of wasted time. I would have had to dig deep since I did not see this documented when I read the specs.

I found this and got it installed. =)
