Arkanoid high score save issues

Has anyone else had issues with high scores with Arkanoid and Revenge of Doh? I’ve done lots of testing across lr-MAME cores and even AdvMAME and get a lot of random behavior, dropping individual high scores, not saving, and sometimes even recording scores out of order. I can’t seem to find any references to this issue across the emu forums.
