Hi all.
A few questions
-
In the Game & Watch emulator I want (for the Game & Watch Wide 4 button games like Mickey etc) to map the upper left to the left stick up, the lower left button to the left stick down, the upper right button to the right stick up and the lower right button to the right stick down of the 360 pad. How can I achieve that?
-
Is there a way to map some Vice (Commodore 64 emulator) actions (Warp, Switch Joysticks, Toggle Virtual Keyboard) in a 360 pad?
-
In Capricerpi (Amstrad CPC) emulator the sensitivity in the options menu and in the virtual keyboard is extremely high and as a result you cannot select what you want without spending minutes trying to aim. Is there any fix for that?
-
Is there a way to have the Vectrex emulator display games more like Vectrex? I mean check how AdvMame1.4 displays the vector games...
-
How can I map certain functions of UAE4arm (the F12 menu, the Quit) to the 360 pad?
-
How can I force a 4way direction of the 360 pad for MAME games like PacMan?
Thanx in advance!

Shameless bump :)

vice - you can map joystick presses to keyboard inputs, but I don't know about those functions specifically. Best to just keep a keyboard handy for vice I think
-
you could try the libretro version of caprice perhaps ? Can't advice on capricerpi - repository is here https://github.com/KaosOverride/CapriceRPI - the author may have some advice
-
vectrex - You could use a shader - eg phosphor
-
uae4arm - Don't kno, but you can look/ask here https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=110488 (where the author is)
-
re 4 way direction - not that I know of.
Sounds like it might just be easier to keep a small keyboard handy for those emulators.

You could try linuxjoystickmapper. I have successfully mapped keyboard presses to my PS3 controller for the standalone PPSSPP emulator. For the life of me I can't use the built in mapper without getting some wonky response while in the UI menu, so I used linuxjoystickmapper and mapped all the default keyboard controls in PPSSPP to my controller. You can also map stick axes to keys, but I have had trouble with this. You might be more successful there.
Here is some more info should you decide to tinker with it: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/2032/dosbox-mapping-mouse-to-ps3-analog-stick/17
I would consider it a last resort.
