      Hi,

New arcade project and I'm prototyping the control panel (image bellow).

Dimensions are 60cmx30cm. You can see I have a couple of holes that do not have any buttons and one hole between the joysticks waiting for the spinner. I have 3 more buttons on the side that cannot be seen in the pic, for pinball (1 on each side + tilt on the right).

      Using Inkscape to design the

I'm currently in the process of seeing if it's comfortable to use, if it's correctly positioned. Dimensions seems to be ok and the bellow empty are is enough to rest your hands and makes it comfortable to use.

      Some thoughts:

      • Green buttons will be removed. I'll have 7 buttons per player only
      • Trackball may be switched with the spinner (hole between the 2 player controls) and eventually moved a little bit down or
      • Trackball needs to be moved a little bit to the right so it will not conflict with the joy bellow
      • Worried that real estate between players 1 and 2 would be a bit crowded with spinner or/ trackball. Actually it would be better without anything but then where should I place the spinner?
      • 4-way joy is comfortable to use but I need the spinner installed to confirm

Not related to the control panel, still deciding if I go with the monitor in the pic (4:3) which basically makes most of the games fill the screen (vertical games are the exception), or go with a 16:9 1920x1080 and add bezels on the sides to hide the black bars.

Any thoughts or comments are really appreciated as it's the first time I do this.

      Thank you
