I just installed the Kodi addon on Retropie and it works fine. I recognized that its the "very old" Version 18.7 (2 years old and even not the latest vesion 18) and not the currently available 19.4. And Version 20 should be available soon ...

Is there a possibility to install Kodi 19 ?

I searched while and it looked for me that its not possible because Retopie is based on Debian and Debian does currently not support a newer Kodi version. I found no newer working version available on retropie/debian.

      Is this information correct?

I would like to use Kodi 19 because True HD (pass through) Sound formats should be correctly supported in this version on Raspberry 4.

I believe the upcoming version of RetroPie (Debian Bullseye) will have Kodi 19.

My English isn't at a good level.
