The restart of the emulation station takes time if you are using many systems / roms. Isn't there a faster method now? I saw that in Batocera (which imho also uses Emulationstation) you can update the gamelist from Emustation without restarting. Maybe you could think about adopting this feature for retropie. This would be especially useful when testing new roms.
