These appear when I click to start a game. They aren't blocking me from any games, but, just annoying and if I could get rid of it, I'd like to.

It also only happens the first game opened in a session of EmulationStation, it doesn't happen after...

      The error is:

lvl0: File path "" is outside system path "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro"
      lvl0: Error finding/creating FileData for "", skipping.

Please add some info about your setup, as detailed in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.

This looks like an issue with the gamelist.xml for the mame-libretro system, did you modify the file manually or did you use a scraper to scrape the games in that folder ?

@mitu I've been editing the XML manually. I looked around for some of the common errors mentioned (illegal characters like &, etc) and didn't see any of those issues. If the XML was "bad", the file wouldn't load at all in ES.

I'll look at the file and see if I have any empty elements, that would explain the "" I suppose.

It is a Rasp Pi 3.
The install was done quite awhile ago, I believe I just did an install of ES and mame
