New platform "rk3588" - suggestion
-
Hello all,
have successfully added in the system.sh the platform "rk3588". Without these changes Retropie/Emulationstation runs - but e.g. Retroarch does not work.To the Retropie team: Maybe you can include the rk3588 devices official :-) And thanks for this incredibly good Retropie :-)
The changes:
"RK3588 RockPi 5")
__platform="rk3588"
;;function platform_rk3588() {
__default_cpu_flags="-mcpu=cortex-a76+fp"
__platform_flags+=(aarch64)
}So I copy the modified file to retropie-setup/scriptmodules and then call the setup:
sudo __platform=rk3588 ./retropie_setup.sh
By the way:
If you install the whole thing under "Armbian (Ubuntu)",
then you have the problem: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/issues/3398Basically you have the problem that retroarch knows another name for the joystick.
For me I solved it like this:
You look in /proc/bus/input/devices for the "SDL name" and create a copy of the joystick config from emulationstation with this name in /opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch-joypads/.***** Here the complete system.sh ************

@Jodels2002 Your post isn't really readable due to the styling. You can edit it and add Markdown for the code blocks - see http://commonmark.org/help/
(Place 3 backticks ``` above and below the code block)
# so code then looks like this

@BuZz Hi, thanks for this hint :-) . I did not know that. So it is much better :-) By the way, the modified script is far from perfect. I have only tested so. For the final version is still missing a recognition. But unfortunately I have no idea how to integrate this reasonably. ( function get_platform() )
Greetings
