      I went to update to Retropie 4.0 after the ES Loading screen my screen goes white and freezes. I am unable to access anything after this or do anything, I can't even SSH into the pi remotely. I am restoring to my backup now but is anybody else seeing this?

          Interesting I will try this by switching to Carbon. Why though is this doing this after the upgrade? Is another system perhaps being added when I upgrade thus pushing me over the limit?

            @silentq possible new system, possible more processing with the updated svg library, could be a few things.

              Moving to Carbon fixed it. I removed the extra systems that got put into ES after the install but I noticed the simple theme now still gives the "white screen of death" makes me wonder if with the changes with ES in Retropie 4.0 that the simple theme is just completely broken now?
