Is Streets of Rage Remake working for anyone in 4.0?
-
How do you exit out of this game? I looked for a config.txt file in the mods folder but there wasn't one.
There are no other exit options anywhere. Only way for me is to use a keyboard.
-
Got my Raspberry Pi 3 today and I'm not having any luck with this, the screen fades to black and then back to the game menu.
I followed these video instructions and read the annotations as well as putting "sudo apt-get install libsdl-mixer1.2" and installing it.I transferred the game over a network connection and put the files in the correct places.

I am pretty sure SorR broke over the course of updates to Retropie. Scouring for a fix.
-
I just wanted to know if anyone still has SorR working on their setup?
-
I'll see if I can put a video together for it.
-
@Floob, I am currently one step closer to resurrecting SorR on my Retropie. Right now it is saying "galsia.pal not found!" The Retropie setup does not have anything to say for installation notes.
-
@greenhawk84 I have SoRR working in Retropie 4.4.1. I was getting the same error. I can't recall 100% how I fixed it, but SoRR is a bit different from other ports insofar as the "content" files are located in a different location from "normal" ports.
It looks like you've downloaded Streets of Rage Remake v5.1 already. So after installing SoRR via Retropie setup (which only installs the executable but not the "content" files), you will need to copy the
SorR.dat
file and themod
andpalettes
folders (and their respective contents) to/opt/retropie/ports/sorr
. In this folder, you should also see the executable file which isbgdi-330
which ought to have been installed via Retropie setup. I've also got another sub-folder in/opt/retropie/ports/sorr
- thesavegame
folder.I'm using Attract Mode and I still needed to do a bit of jiggery pokery to get it working. Can't be sure that this will work for emulationstation, but hopefully it does.
If the above doesn't work, I'd suggest starting from scratch - effectively what I did. Uninstall SoRR from Retropie-Setup, delete all of the "content" files, restart Retropie and then go through the process as above.
-
One step closer.. now the game loads but crashes at the leaf picture of the intro.
-
@greenhawk84 I fixed that problem too after having it. Can't remember how but found this online:
https://github.com/zerojay/RetroPie-Extra/issues/183
It sounds like you just need to pick the correct video mode when you loaded it up the first time.
-
yes @spud11 is correct. i dont know what file you need to delete to be able to repick the correct video setting. but you need to pick normal.
i had this problem before, so i just wiped the whole folder. reinstalled the sorr package and copy it all back.
hope you get it working -
@exarkuniv I'm pretty sure I wiped and started from scratch too.
