Has anyone had any luck emulating the Sinclair ZX80?
-
This is the predecessor to the ZX81, itself the forerunner of the ZX Spectrum. I've installed lr-mess-system-zx80-cass and I've got the BIOS in the right place, but when I try to load any .O files I just get a white screen with no prompt. Is there any working support for the system?

Seems zx80 is a preliminary driver so no dice.
I would pick the zx81 which will work and has almost the same specs as the zx80.
So almost the same hardware but not sure why .o files are not supported by the zx81.
Btw. zx81 uses .wav .p .81 or .tzx files.
(zx80 : .wav .o .80)
Most likely the games that run on zx80 can be found on zx81 format too.
Perhaps zx80 .wav file will work on zx81. -
@Folly That's a shame, cheers.

The ZX spectrum emulator zesarux should be able to run zx80 and there is an original module-script inside RetroPie-Setup for installing it.
However zx80 and zx81 are not implemented in the module-script.
Perhaps you can add it manually.
Not sure how good it will work though.
Perhaps I will test if I have time.
