Retroflag GPi case 1 scripts and patches

Hey there,

which steps are necessary to run a Retroflag GPi case version 1 with a Retropie stock image?

Is it still...

1.) Install Safe Shutdown script
2.) Patch Display for GPIO output instead of default HDMI

Or are those things redundant as of version 4.8?

@Doomguy Those are both still necessary, yes. RetroPie does not bake in any of the customizations necessary to run the GPi case.

While not strictly necessary, you should also add this to the list: https://www.reddit.com/r/retroflag_gpi/comments/c176wg/sound_fix_for_gpi_mono_sound_link_inside/ It will fix the issue where the GPi tries to output one channel of stereo sound through the case's mono speaker.
