Can you help? Channel F Emulator - How you start a game?

Hello all,
I installed lr-freechaf for emulating Channel F. It works OK and it loads the game roms. I never had a Channel F, so I don't know how to start a game. By pressing the start key on the controller, it shows an overlay with the machines buttons and you press them pressing any of the A,B,X,Y on the controller, but what next? How to start a game? If you could help it would be appreciated.
