lr-vice...Added the JiffyDOS roms, what can I do with them?

As in the title, I saw that in lr-vice you can add the JiffyDOS roms into the bios/vice directory, so I added them. What can I do with them? How do I use them?

I saw the option to enable Jiffydos at retroarch and I see that, when enabled it loads a .d64 file somewhat quicker. Is this the only advantage, or you can do other things with it?
