      Hello

      I´ve got a strange soundproblem with retropie

      On my Panasonic TV and my Eizo monitor sound is working flawlessly.

      On a friends Samsung TV and my parents TV there is no sound......

      Is there any solution to force sound over HDMI?
      Even changes in the Retropie settings have no effekt on the sound

        @nikei yes, there is. https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/sound-issues

        Googled "retropie audio" and clicked very first link.

          One thought. If you have a sound system connected to the TV in question and you have audio routed from the TV to the sound system, you may have issues with audio from the rPi.

          The way I've fixed this recently is to force the TV audio to output through the TV speakers, not the connected sound system. For me, it's within my TV's audio options.

          To put it another way, I have the HDMI output from the rPi connected to my TV, and set the TV option to have audio come out of the TV instead of my optical output that goes to my entertainment system. This has something to do with the time between sounds, and fading in and out due to audio circuitry designed for program audio not bleeps and bloops. In my case with Frogger, I would only hear sound for a few seconds, then nothing while going through my sound system, but it's find going through the TV speakers.

          Hope this helps.
