This is normally a bug in some application using the D-Bus library.D-Bus not built with -rdynamic so unable to print a backtrace

This doesn't look like an EmulationStation error, though maybe some library used by it can access
dbus
(libvlc
,sdl
?).What desktop environment are you using ? Any reason to use such an old distribution, now out of support ?

@mitu desktop environment is ubuntu desktop 18.04 the computer can't run 64 bit its an old one I tried to get it to upgrade to the newest it crashes so had to stay at older ver

You can try - as a workaround - to run it with
DBUS_FATAL_WARNINGS=0
:DBUS_FATAL_WARNINGS=0 emulationstation
My advice would be use use the current Debian 12 bullseye to run RetroPie, it still supports i386 systems.
