      I can't seem to get

      sudo -s
      dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration

to work in RetroPie 4. Right now the keyboard is UK, so typing # types the pound symbol. I want to change it to a keyboard were pound is like, the computer pound symbol, like God intended ;)

This worked fine in RetroPie 3.8.1 so I wonder what changed?

      (shakes fist at Brits)

Does changing it in raspi-config work? (Reboot may be required)

@BuZz unfortunately, it does not -- same effect, some lines about ignoring config are printed, but no character mode UI to change keyboard as there was in 3.8.1.

@codinghorror it worked last time I tried I'll check. The image is a Raspian lite with retropie installed on top. Nothing relating to this is changed for retropie at least.

Just tested on a fresh image and it worked for me. I had to reboot though after for the changes to take effect.

Sorry I was having trouble posting on the forum, so I could not respond.

I can confirm on a clean install of RetroPie 4.0 image, I am able to change the keyboard using dpkg command, so something I am doing must be interfering with the command later.

                  How weird!
