      Hello,

      As I understand it, the cec_osd_name parameter is deprecated and ignored if set in the Raspberry Pi's config.txt file. This involves user mode video functionality being replaced by kernel mode functionality through Linux Kernel Mode Setting (KMS).

      Previously, in config.txt, I would set a parameter like:

      # Change HDMI CEC name so that TV/AV receiver displays recognizable input selection
      cec_osd_name=RetroPie

      I don't believe this works anymore. So my question is: how do I set RetroPie's HDMI CEC display name as I was previously? Is this possible?

      Thanks,
      Frank

        I guess depending on the utility used, there should be an option for the 'osd display name', for instance cec-ctl has it with the -o parameter.
