problems instaling homebridge

i have a problem instaling homebridhe when im coming to this pont end get this erro and i dont now how to fix it.

The error is pretty clear, you need a newer Node version.

npm WARN npm can't make any promises that npm will work with this version.Ayway, not sure how this is related to RetroPie, so you should consult the Homebridge docs and see if you have installed all the correct pre-requisites (Node, for instance).

and wel its says its foor the pi2 and i use a pi 3b+ bad it workd.
