Hotkey not working in Vice

In all other systems apart from C64 Vice I can press start and hotkey button to quit the game or start and X to bring up the menu but on Vice these don't work and I need to press F12 on the keyboard to bring up the menu. Anyone else have this issue?

If you're using the standalone emulator and not the libretro core, then it's normal. The hotkey enable button/shortcuts are generally available only for libretro cores (emulators names
lr-<something>).
