Anyone else running into Kodi problems? It works at first. Then after exit a movie it stops moving on menu or will skip or only able to select few. Then when u reboot and try to launch Kodi again it will exit and come back to emulation.

        I am having similar problems.
On 4.0.1, I have to disconnect my ps4 dual shock 4 controller after launch to stop it from crashing.

I had the same issue on the older versions, it never worked for me. I just tried to start Kodi with the PS4 controller connected and it crashes. Did it work for you on the previous versions?

Not tested, but if Kodi is crashing with a PS4 controller connected try removing /usr/share/kodi/system/keymaps/joystick.PS4.Controller.xml as a workaround until the next stable version. If you do this, the PS4 contoller will not work of course.

@PetroRie It worked without hitch on 3.8.1.

Albeit, without hitch means I could leave the ps4 controller plugged in via USB. I could only navigate the Kodi menu with the controller; I could not actually launch anything.

Hence why i just purchased a Lenovo Handheld Keyboard and Mouse.

lol so technically it didn't work. How did you navigate? With the d-pad? In my case I could only navigate with the R1 and the L1 button. I googled this issue and this is a common problem, tried any solution I could find and I eventually gave up. Since I'm using a long USB cable I have no problem plugging in a keyboard. But still it would be cool if it worked.

The joystick support in Kodi (for the Raspberry Pi) is experimental in Kodi 16, and only from this repo. It will only have official support in Kodi 17 when the stable version comes out.

@PetroRie Well, if you want to be technical. ;]

I believe I was navigating the same way. I was just happy to not have to disconnect.

Either way, looks like you and @Rascas answered the core of my question. Thanks!

Would you guys have any insight on the my ps4/reicast issues?

Try upgrading the software to the latest version.
