      So I really thought that with the addition of the power button on the Pi 5, we would see some safe shutdown scripts available like the RetroFlag cases have, but so far all my searches have turned up nothing.

      Does this exist at all anywhere?

        @TPR not yet no.
        It's hard to make scripts when there's not a official image yet.
        Hard to make things work, when we don't know what will and will not be included or setup in the official image.

        Once it comes. Then it will be easier to adapt older things to work on the new software

          Why ? Just use a RaspiOS Lite image and create your scripts. RetroPie is not an OS.

            @mitu its not hard in the sense its difficult to do.

            i say its hard to plan for what might change to get other things working as you(the devs) go through and get everything underthe hood working the way you want them.

            and yes probably nothing is going to change that much that it will happen, but there is a chance. that's what i mean by that.

            for me, who it not program savvy as the rest who make scripts and stuff. it will frustrate me that the time i spend was for not, if it broke once the official release comes. again that's just me, and how i am
