      Pi Model: 5
      Power Supply used: Original
      RetroPie Version Used : 4.8.8
      Built From: On top of Raspi OS 64bit Lite
      USB Devices connected: Keyboard
      Error messages received: VolumeControl::init() - Failed to find mixer elements!
      Attachment of config files: (Fresh from install and I have tried adding hdmi_driver=2 and hdmi_force_hotplug=1)
      How to replicate the problem: Fresh install on rpi 5 8gb and no sound. I tried so many mitu advice's and others on ytb but nothing worked for me. Once it worked on really old TV but since them atleast 4 monitor/TV did not beep at me.

      Does anyone know how to fix it ? Thanks

        Audio doesn't work by default in the current stage of RetroPie development.
        You have to manually set the audio output to HDMI
        by going to RetroPie Setup > Audio > HDMI.Then restart EmulationStation.
        If this doesn't work, then I believe something else is happening.

            @dvojkaa I have uploaded my backup image of RPi5. It's an unofficial, 100% clean image (with no BIOS/ROMs files) of RetroPie. I followed the official guide to install it. Can you please try with this image?

                @dvojkaa

                Try to set the audio again and restart the system :
                RetroPie-Setup -> audio -> Hdmi

                Did you have install the Desktop ?
