Why are there no more announcements or news updates?

I lurk a lot here I admit, but I am curious what happened to having news updates or even announcements in their separate thread?
The only way for me to find out that even the pi4 is supported was from reading posts here, and there has been nothing about the pi5 other than posts and the github. I'd've thought that there would've been like "hey we're working on things here is where we are at" type news posts.
For any new comer thinking about getting into RetroPie they would think it is mostly a dead project.
I get people are busy and that it is done on people's free time, but so were those announcements.. I'm not here to call people out on not doing their work, I get how things work here, I've been here since the beginning to see it.
Anyway thanks for taking the time for my post and I'd be interested in what everyone's thoughts are, for or against what I said.

@geneworld Mostly due to lack of free time. I intend to do a news update though.
